Why Is It Important To Get Your Car Detailed Instead Of Going To Car Wash?

Any time you touch your paint you get a small amount of micro scratches, these can cause the paint to look faded and less glossy. You want your paint to be smooth so the light can shine off like a clean mirror. Automatic car washes use big brushes that get warn out and dirty. A touchless car wash will use harsh chemicals to get the job done. These harsh chemicals will make your paint fade faster and they strip off any protection you had on your clear coat. Automatic car washes are not going to get your rims super clean nor will they get all the grime from around logos and trim.

Car detailers use high quality micro fiber towels to get the least amount of swirls and micro scratches. A good car detailer can also remove tar, bugs, and paint over spray, as well as performing a clay bar and iron removal treatment to get all of the industrial fall out off your vehicle. Car detailers will then apply a protective coating over the clear coat, (wax or sealant), typically lasting 3-6 months.

My first job was at a carwash in Marion Indiana. I moved back to Ahwatukee Arizona in High School, where I started detailing cars for a local detailing business. This is what I did everyday to pay for boxing training and motocross gas. I worked off and on at dealerships in sales, where I detailed every vehicle I sold. Detailed and washed motorcycles, cars, side by sides, boats, jet skii, wave runners, wash trailers, and every other vehicle out there.

I decided to work for myself and detail vehicles on my own, so I can have more time with the family and doing what I enjoy. Washing cars is relaxing to me.
